Babe of the Poor

by Luna Aquarius - Not entered

So fair this little face,
That brings such a large
And heavy case.

Who am I to say that you,
Should not
Have been born?

You may have chosen to come,
Knowing all the while you were growning
How your fate would unfurl.

I would, have had you elected
A much safer path
Not one so rejected.

One that would have brought to you
The riches of family charms,
Taught through kind and loving arms.

Would that have kept you secure,
Safe and sound, out of harms way
Throughout mans existence in time?

There have been always
The masses of the rejected.
Making us all greatly affected.

Reason for writing:

I saw a poor girl with her babe and heard someone say that this
child should not have been born. Then in the news a rich young boy
was killed for being a teacher to the poor. The community has been
greatly affected for he has done much. I think who is to say what we
are worth for only the creator knows our path.
