You know, I have this dream Ev'ry night when I go to bed You come and lay by my side "I'll always be here," you said. We don't say anything You just hold me in your arms And you said to me one night, "I'll always protect you from harm." You always stay with me Until I'm fast asleep. And you always tell me That you are mine to keep. You have never left me When I needed a friend And you have always listened When I talked for hours on end. If you ever need me, I'll be by your side. And I will love you always Until the day I die.

I actually had a dream where this happened so I woke up and wrote this poem.
