The Green Room

by A.R.Stevenson - Capricorn - Not entered

Have you ever seen the Green Room ?
A lighthouse of enigma
Enchanting momentary souls to look upward to the heaven
And wonder why
The Green Room ?

No mortal nor object exist in the Green Room
It's calm beyond reach
Intrigued to it's actuality, it's motive, we fly like birds to the nest
And sedition crawls from
The Green Room

Pandora's box clutches no temptation like the Green Room
I plunge for the apple
An answer to good and bad, no stranger yet knows that hikes beneath
I wonder why
The Green Room ?

Reason for writing:

In Morecambe there is a hotel called the Park Hotel and at the very top of the hotel there is a round room. Now this round room has glass windows all wthe way around and at night it is alight with a green glow - nothing can be seen in the room and all who pass ask what it is ? The poem developed along that idea and took on the format of all things unseen and wanted
