Johnny Cade

by Brook Pieces - Not entered

From a Soc's point of view
He was dirtier than dirt
But it was Johnny they never knew
And it was Johnny that they hurt
By killing one of them
He endangered all of us
But we stood next to him
That's just the way we was
Greased up so much we could slide
As humorous we thought life could be
But life was all we could ride
Until Johnny made us see
Now I am a firm believer
That what we did was right
Because we're the ones that started
That fire in the church one night
But now Johnny's gone
He's lying six feet into
And the Soc's all feel sorry
For the Greaser they never knew*

Reason for writing:

You would of had to of read The Outsiders to
Understand this. I really loved that darn story...
