I once knew a lady
   She was my teacher.

   I once knew a lady
   She was an achiever.

   I once knew a lady
   Who always did her best.

   I once knew a lady
   Who never settled for less.

   I once knew a lady  
   She had a heart of gold.

   I once knew a lady
   Who stood through hot and cold.

   I once knew a lady
   Who loved to tell her view.

   I once knew a lady 
   Like her there are few.

   I once knew a lady
   Whom who could confide.

   I once knew a lady
   Who had a lot of pride.

Reason for writing:

    I wrote this poem for a school assignment on pride. The lady 
in my poem is a combination of a lot of different people.
