Will Time Tell?

by Eric Hodgson - Not entered

I live in a world of Darkness.
Where I am going i do not know,
where I am i can not tell,
where I have been, only my heart knows.
As I see a sopt of light in the distance,
I head for it, not knowing how long it will take it reach it.
It seems for every step I take, it gets two more steps in front of me.
I get frantic so I run for the light,
I can see I am getting nearer and nearer.
Then as I run I feel my foot get stuck and I hit the ground.
When I tripped on I can not see,
I can only see the light getting farther and farther away.
As I see it dissapear, I put my head in my hands and I cry.
I know I have to go on with my life.
Everywhere I look, I look for that light I saw.
Will I find it tomorrow?
Will I find it next week or next year?
Only time will tell, Only time will tell.
