Alone

by Dave Nickelson Aquarius - Not entered

Lying in bed
My soul alone tonight
Still fully garbed
No desire to sleep
Listening to the blues
Worsens the loneliness
Already late
Sleep has no grip over me
Eyes tired and straining
To see in dim light
The mind seeks sleep
Escape lonely feelings
To do so is to give up
To admit noone cares
Several calls did I make
But returned, were none
My only consoler
Last week's e-mail
Why didn't she call
Anticipation is gone
Filled with lonesomeness
Outside wind blows
I close windows tight
Further sealed in
No chance to leave this night
From the cell I have created
All Alone

Reason for writing:

I was just all alone one night and I needed something to do
