Payne

by Zainto - Not entered

Pain oh pain why do you constantly linger on me?
Love, strength and eternal happiness is where my soul longs to be.
Pain oh pain do you give onto me in vain?
My body, mind and soul are drowning in everlasting pain.
What have I ever done to thee,
To cause my soul such utter misery?
When I look into the mirror the reflection I see,
Is this person really me, is pain forever my destiny?
Or is it the reflection of an empty soul,
Where misery, pain and disappointment hath taken its toll.
Is there and end to this misery or is it my lives verse
O I beg of thee reimburse
Rid me of this dreaded curse.

Reason for writing:

The thorns of life have wounded me deeply.
