Universal Walk

by Justin McCullough - Not entered

I tie my shoes after lacing them tight.
No question here about wrong or right.
I got my star chart and all the knowledge to go with it.
The only thing left is the jet pack to put me in flight.

I'm gonna walk the clouds one, two, three...
Of course cloud nine I'll stop to see.
Just passing through all the others.
Nothing else really interests me.

Looking back on us now, we are so small.
Now it's like the earth is nothing at all.
A speck in my sky as I fly thousands of light years.
I never thought it would take so long to get no where at all.

I guess our world is miniature to this galaxy of ours.
We should be interested in taking all these magnificent stars,
Instead of the lands on earth and it's beautiful waters.
I guess our mind is open ‘cause I can see developments on Mars.

The Milky Way seems like a grain in a pile of sand
Amongst all the galaxies that exist beyond these outstretched hands.
Look out for me when I enter and exit this hole of blackness,
For I will be like a rocket faster than light from its launching stand.
