The Grey Wall

by sunshine - Not entered

Why must the leaves fall in the Autumn?
Why must the snow melt in the spring?
Why must the sun set
    and the moon disappear?
Why must this day a year ago
    seem much to clear?
Please stop this earth from revolving
So that I can dissect this moment
and realize that the earth turns gold at dusk
in places other than my temperate ocean sanctuary
So that I can be certain that I will
look at someone that way again
So that I will not be blended into the Grey Wall
Or swept away by the chilling breeze
So that I will be certain that I will feel real again

Reason for writing:

being in love with my fleeting life
