Aristotle

by Don Taylor Virgo - Not entered

If Aristotle could live just one more day
What would bring him pleasure?
Would he spend it or work or leisure,-
Catergorizing the habits of sharks,
Or, in the fields, listening to the meadowlarks
Sing?
Or one more time would he play the taws
On the bottom of a
King?
And this last,
Would it affect modern poetry in a way,-
Cause Yeats to make a double assertion,
  Cancel the circus animal's desertion?
I

Reason for writing:

one tiny change 2500 years ago might alter everything

eagerness for someone's comment
