The Ghost of Desire

by Brent Daley, Virgo - Not entered

Through the night,
	And into the fire
We come together,
	With burning desire
Our hearts as two,
	We share as one
With nothing to lose,
	And nowhere to run
I'll take care of you,
	And hold no reins
Together forever,
We’ll share the sorrows and pains
The good times we’ve had,
	And the memories will last
What could have been,
	Will be in the past
Everything about you,
	Is perfect and right
Your eyes and your smile,
	On a cool Alaskan night
Soon we’ll be gone,
	From this God awful place
But I’ll always remember,
	Your beautiful face.......

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem while working in Alaska. It is about my ex-girlfriend Jacki, she meant the world to me back then, and this poem will always be for her.
