when I was very small I watched the cricket on BBC2 I used to watch because dad did (we only had the one TV and he was dad and I was very small) dad thought this was great he used to explain it all one day we were watching and England were not enough for four dad was getting fed up so I said dad I don’t think we should watch England any more they never win do they dad looked at me like I’d gone a bit funny he said son that’s not the point is it you’re English you support England even if they can’t play cricket
