So Unsure

So Unsure

He traveled many miles, in search for his own.
He was forever seeking a tranquil place, to eventually call his home.
He walked in confusion, his name was So Unsure.
Incapable to seek the light, through the hazed mist of his sorrow and his hurt.
During his caravan, he met great people along the way.
He encountered so much knowledge, to much of his dismay.
The dense fog blurred his vision, as he stumbled upon a cunning traveling man.
His name was Ego, and he ventured from a dark and hardened land.
This man planted a seed of doubt, and he convinced So Unsure would never find his home.
That the journey that he traveled, would be with his to tread alone.
The man named Ego introduced him to a peasant girl, whom's name was Fear.
She timidly introduced herself, as she whispered in his ear.
You will never find your dreams if you walk beside with me.
For I will always hold you back from what you want to be.
So Unsure trembled, tempted by the murky solace that she instilled.
He knew that he had to journey on, for Fear would have him killed.
The days and nights he traveled, and soon he met a humbled man named Pride.
He traveled with him for a while, finding no serenity from inside.
Ego gasped in disbelief , at all the people So Unsure had sent away.
Ego was terrified, that soon So Unsure would send him on his way.
They encountered a frenzied storm, that thrashed So Unsure within.
Determined to find his home, even if it meant to walk alone again.
So Unsure sensed it in his conscious, that he would not seek it with Ego by his side.
They journeyed to the crossroads, shook hands, and said goodbye.
So Unsure knew that he would find what he was pursuing, if he just continued on.
Without really looking, he found a fair maiden named Stay strong.
He felt strength and vital life as they continued to find his home.
The fair maiden was full of integrity, and disallowed So Unsure to walk alone.
He began to envision the rainbows, beyond the fierce storms that he had passed.
They he stopped to smell the flowers, when a young maiden named Hope had crossed their path.
They slayed out the the self-doubting monsters, conquering from deep within their souls.
Bonding close together, denying to relinquish the intensity of their hold.
Many days they traveled, pillaging upon the land.
Their voyage was not always easy, for they did not have a plan.
They just continued to stroll upon the beaten footpath that god had layed.
So Unsure felt comfort, he was no longer so afraid.
He knew that with Stay strong and Hope walking by his side.
He could graciously leave his friends, Ego, Fear and Pride.
He knew that with all of life's essence, he would eventually find his way.
He had what it took within his heart, to relinquish all his pain.
He could sense that his creator had placed people in his unknown path.
Entirely grateful for all of life's wonders, he knew he would be home at last.

Reason for writing:

During some difficult times in my life, I came to this realization.
That if I just let go and move with the world, all is good. It is when
my ego, fear and pride, step in that I seem to mess my life up. I read this
poem repetitively when going venturing over the uneven terrain in my life.
I wanted to share this, in hopes to ease others along the way.
