Watching You

by SAC - Not entered

After the services,
You stand outside the church
Playing around with some girl.
Across the street, in the park,
I am there, watching you.

As you take the test,
Your form hunched over the desk,
You concentrate real hard
So you don't realize, across the room,
I am there, watching you.

When it's lunchtime
You sit with your friends,
Joking and having a good time.
But a few tables away,
I am there, watching you.

When you walk down the hall,
You say hi to everyone
But you don't say hi to me.
Following you, a few feet away,
I am there, watching you.

I can't help what I do
You're just interesting to watch.
Who really knows....
While I am there, watching you,
Someone may be watching me.

Reason for writing:

I penned this poem as a way to let my feelings out. At the time, (and still now) I was in love with someone, and yet it was an impossible situation. It hurt me really bad, and the only way I could really recuperate was to write. So I put my pen to paper, and this poem came out.
