Forbidden Field

by Zainto - Not entered

In the heat and darkness of a summer night
Lost and walking through and open field searching for any sign of light,

You hear a screeching noise come from the silent air
As a vampire bat swoops down and gets entangled in your hair,

Then it disappears without a trace
Relief fills your body as you wipe the hair away from your face,

The darkness of night is now closing in
You feel bumps raise on your pale skin,

Chills run up and down your spine,
As you feel something pull you down from behind,

Struggling to be freed you scratch and scrape
With no hope of escape your mouth goes agape,

Staring into your stalkers red eyes
You are convinced that this must be your demise,

It hisses like a snake and opens its mouth and reveals its sharp fangs
Screaming and screaming the future of your lives plot hangs,

You feel its eyes staring
Staring at the vein pulsating from the left side of your naked neck it sinks its fangs down and releases the vise like grip without ripping or tearing,

The stalker looks on
Observes your pain and is gone,

Feelings of great pleasure and confusion take over your body, soul and mind
As you feel yourself turning into something of a different kind,

Dropping to the ground you pass out in the open field of the night
You can no longer fight as your body feels frozen from fright,

The next night you awaken from the smell of blood and the sound of a heart beating
It is a person on their knees begging and pleading,

Please help me I am lost and wounded in this open field
I need help to get to light so I can be healed.

Reason for writing:

A metaphorical dream manifesting itself as my true self.
