Silence

by falcon - Not entered

Silence.
Can't you hear it?
Screaming through the night.
It's harsh shrieks are almost deafening.
My heart races like a crashing bolt of lightening.
The blood pulses through my wrists as if about to boil.
Impulses run up and down my spine as it's roar bellows all around me.
This intense horror overwhelms me, blocking out all else.
My entire body aches along with the dull rhythm.
I double over and fall to the ground.
And then, suddenly, it stops.
Leaving behind only
Silence.
