Guardian Angel

by blisss *gemini* - Not entered

The uneven tread of loneliness
kicks me and trips me up
I fall to the gravel floor
tearing the skin from my hands and knees
the tears form as a small puddle
staining my face
yet soon I feel a warm breath caress my skin
I look up into a blinding light
shading my eyes
I see you
Angel of Love; Angel of Mercy
you sweep me up into your arms
and place me gently back onto my feet again
no soon I had first seen you
you were gone
and a pure white feather from you angel wings
floats slowly down into my outstretched hand.

Reason for writing:

A wish to be salvaged from being lonely.
