Farewell

by Zainto - Not entered

Guilt eating thy soul
Jealousy creeping in the deep red of your pulsating veins
Friends forever with the title best was our goal
But the stars have lost their gleam as the clouds come in and it rains,

To you I bid farewell, yes it must be
Together we have grown apart and old, memories will last and last
Break the chains of togetherness it is the only way that we can be free
Our friendship I fear must be in the past,

Tirelessly searching my mind without finding a way out of this crazy maze
Drowning in your tears I hopelessly gasp for air there is nothing I can do
Peel back your mask to lift your false haze, who could have foretold that these were our
final days
I love you that is why we must part, this is something being done for you,

Cry my dear release your pain
Soon there will be an end to this thunderous lightning and rain.

Reason for writing:

    Ending a friendship of rollercoasters.
