I search for a rainbow when the sky is gray, But the rain pours down this cold, sad day. I stare outside, unseen, alone, Not wanting to make my presence known. I'll let you think that I'm not here, So I can drown in salty tears. You may understand but probably not, My jealousy makes my insides rot. You talk to her and not to me, It's clear in my mind but you don't see. I know the truth so I'm filled with dread, I'm terribly aware of the times ahead. You still love her and she loves you, It's plain to me what you must do. I don't want love that's built on lies, So I'll force myself to say goodbye. We both love you but I can't share, Remember how I was always there. I'll love you always and forever, But your not all mine, not now or ever. I'm choosing to leave, so please don't fight, Perhaps someday you'll see the light.
