A Picture Of Us

by David (Virgo) - Not entered

I picture us hand in hand
Upon your finger you wear a band
A symbol of love you wear it with pride
Your heart not weary from tears you’ve cried
I picture us side by side
Daylight not being a cause to hide
Free to be a couple at last
Never in fear of what’s in our past
I picture us together living each day
Our love growing in every way
Sharing all both good and bad
The happiest times we’ve ever had
I picture us together growing old
Knowing your wishes without being told
Starting each day with a hug and kiss
Our lives being spent in total bliss
I picture my life with only you
Without you I wouldn’t know what to do
A sudden void would fill my heart
My mornings wouldn’t ever start
I picture us hand in hand
Together we’d stroll feeling so grand
Life would be good for you and me
To the end of time our love would be

Reason for writing:

    Wanting something I'll never have
