A Moment With You

by David (Virgo) - Not entered

A moment of your time, a piece of your life,
Wishing one day you’d be my wife.
A second here, a minute there,
Taking what’s given, never a dare.

A moment in time spent with you,
Keeps me from feeling sad and blue.
To see that smile or to kiss your face,
Fills my heart with calm and grace.

I always want so very much more,
But have learned to relax, and never to bore.
A gentle hand, letting everything be,
Saying or doing nothing, to cause you to flee.

Other priorities, call you from me,
Instead of frustration, I wait and see.
Once true love is in your heart,
You have to trust and play your part.

I watch and listen and wait for you,
But, never again will I feel blue.
I know that you really do love me true,
And there is nothing that we can do.

Reason for writing:

Again, wanting something so bad, but knowing it'll never be mine
