The sun caresses the horizon Waking all within its ray, Yet I wake to find you not next to me. The wind of the world ravages the tide Bringing ocean currents fluttering, Like seraph’s, wing upon the sea shore Yet it brings me not news of you. The cool breeze whisp by my ear Carrying the laughter of couples So joyous in their moments together Only to remind me of the loneliness in my life. The day drags on without you by my side. As the sun set cast shadows, In my already darken world, The night stars twinkle one-by-one Only soon to fade away. And as the silence fall upon the night, Another day passes without your touch.
Reason for writing:
Inspired by a friend on Cyberspace who told me that nature is one of the elements which inspires her to write poetry. This poem was written on a lonely 4th of July on the beach. I hope you enjoyed it!Birth sign: Not entered
