My heart had been broken so many times
and I had shut the whole world away
in fear of being hurt again
and losing you someday

You've been my inspiration
and you've given me back my dreams
you taught me how to love again
and showed me what it means

You've been with me through good and bad
you were my rock when times got tough
you told me what I needed to hear 
and given me more than enough

I want to thank you with all my heart
for being there with me
you taught me what life was about
and showed me how it could be
