DREAMS

by dreamer - Not entered

From dusk till dawn they rule my mind.
Bringing me a joy of a higher kind.
As real as you and me.
And sometimes they even are what I want them to be.
Hidden wishes resurface in mysterious delight.
Only to find them gone at the appearance of daylight.
But I like it so much, so sometimes I even let it go on during the day.
Their residence is sleep, R.E.M. leads their way.
Can`t imagine having to live without their presence in my head.
Just pretending, even beyond the bounderies of bed.
They give me my only joys and pleasures.
If I am a deep ground, then they are my treasures.
They and me have become one.
Linked together like the stars and the sun.
Don`t bother to understand or to explain.
When I`m alone they heal my pain.
Great adventures and ultimate loves on a big screen behind my eyes.
Without dreams, there are no hopes, no visions. Don`t you dare to call them lies.
Without dreams, there are no goals, no desires...no escape.
Addicted to dreams, my gate to freedom. Away from the mental rape.
