When you told me it was over, I covered my face and cried. I closed my eyes, my ears, my heart, and my mind to the world outside. I sit by myself with my vicious thoughts, And grin wickedly as I think of evil plots. I realized something - I don't need you. I can handle life alone, that's so true. I'll keep my distance, I won't be mean, But I'll try to avoid you, I don't want to be seen. You've hurt me bad, many a time, And your promises came a dozen a dime. I've decided to start my life anew, A life without lies and a life without you.
