i want to feel seasons again

by ol' man mose-aries - Not entered

i want to feel seasons again

i want to live somewhere
where leaves fall
somwhere where green
has meaning and daffodils

in my mind winter rivers
swell and flood until spring's
gentle murmer explodes
skunk cabbages everywhere

maybe next year
i'll eat a curling frond
a friendly fern or another
wild hyacinth suck

i am dreaming always
of another spring
of a slow sweet summer
of autumn gold

before the cold
forever

i want to feel seasons]
again

Reason for writing:

    living in california, one misses
the changing of the seasons
and old age makes for a certain
melancholy
