Awaiting

by Cassandra Khor, Lady of Twilight whispers - Not entered

Mihrages of fallen day
breathing life
to illusions
of summer dreams
thought lost
to vanguards of winter
darkness....
in a heart shattered
by memories..

Why do I wait?
Alone upon this shore
of twilight remembrance....
neath an autumn night
alighted by stars,
their light like
icy tears
echoed in dark eyes.

I wait.
For promises of sunrise
to sunder unwavering shadows
I wait.
For warmth to return
to frozen lands...
I wait.
For fairytale endings,
for a prince to awaken
his slumbering lady
I wait.
For oath sworn
in twilight and hope
to be fufilled
I wait.
For my love to thaw
my frozen soul.

Reason for writing:

I ain't the best poet in the world. The evidence is in my work.
But sometimes emotion means more than words and this is one time I belief.
For a 13 year old girl like me to write such things in strange, even in a world
such as this. But because of hope. For the return of my love. That is my inspiration.
Nothing else.
