Chance a Wonder

by Warren Shan, Gemini - Not entered

I cannot explain why I feel this way,
Not just for now, or for today,
Yet for many days, do I behold,
Someone beautiful, someone bold,

I cannot say what is on my mind,
For my heart yearns of another kind,
And I wonder in your ocean filled eyes,
To be greeted by those grateful sighs,

I cannot be what you wish me to be,
I can only ask, accept what is me,
Boundaries, I am willing to break,
Convenience, I must forsake,

I cannot say what is in my soul,
For it alone, cannot reach its goal,
And for what may seem a desperate plea,
Chance a wonder between you and me.
