Why do you need it, Where's the desire, To let you mind fly higher and higher. To have all feeling escape from inside, And send your body on a dangerous ride. Dazed by all the abuse you sustain, A moment of pleasure to abandon the pain. I sit here and watch what you do to your health, Knowing to help you would take infinite wealth. I pray one day you'll see me with unclouded eyes, And stop this insanity which will cause your demise.

I watched a friend let drugs take over her life and
couldn't do anything to help her except stay with her.
