Peaceful Beginning

by Sami Gemini - Not entered

Today I heard two sorrows wailing,
and pain and fear were beaten back,
they dressed again and raged their war
but peace and comfort won -
for neither grey dank clouds nor pain
of disappointment can wrestle faith and win.
I saw the unexpected enemy and recognized him
in his cloak of surprise - the bloody battle
cost - trust lives now at a price too high,
peace just begins again. Enemy, go away. You have no power here. For love
and the loss, though great,
was his. Winged bird of peace, balm of faith,
my peace grows a new heart stem.
How soft the scale as angels comfort-sing it.
Now I live!
