To those who have lived and managed to survive the terror, to all that served all that died. I will never know your fear, nor will I ever know your pain. With honer you served your country well in the battles fought by the brave. I have learned of your experiences only through written words of what history was said to be, but I know there could be no words to explain what was felt in your hearts and sould when you strived to win the battles that I will never know. Your loyalties have taught us to take pride in our flag that represents freedom, the flag you carried and saluted when you fought in the war. When I see our flag, when I hear our national anthem, I am standing proud for all who stood before me... Especially You Grandpa!!! In Honer of my Grandfather Harvey Lamarand 01/23/17--03/29/96
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem because I grew up knowing a very proud man who was so dedicated and proud of his country that I could not imagine going through the struggles he saw in war. I decided to show him just how proud I was of him the only way I knew how, through words.Birth sign: Not entered
