My Biggest Mistake

by Karilyn Kempton - Pisces - Not entered

Losing you was my biggest mistake.
It wasn't one I was prepared to make.
You got tired of waiting and you moved on;
I've lost my chance and now you're gone.
You disappeared as quickly as you came;
My life without you just isn't the same.
I treated you wrong, you found that out;
Since you left I want to scream and shout.
You were my life, my better half,
You stopped my tears and made me laugh.
I must have been blind not to see,
That you and I were meant to be.
You were what made my world go 'round,
Everything's dead now, I have found.
My life is simply black and white,
Darkness has overpowered colour and light.
I shouldn't have let you get away,
But I can't make you want to stay.
You're too good to be with me,
I'd drag you down, just wait and see.
I value your happiness more than mine,
I hope you get your chance to shine.
I'll love you forever, with all my heart,
But if you're truly happy, then we'll stay apart.

Reason for writing:

    I missed my chance....I was too late....I shouldn't have let him get away
