Highschool Blues

by Bobi (Aries) - Not entered

Everyone always tells you highschool is fun
Everyone lived in a time blind to the guns
People separate into groups and cliques
People are so superficial and easily forget
That they are human and that I am too
Please don't give me the highschool blues

Don't call me names or put me down
Don't glare me down or shove me around
Don't strut around with your parents car
Don't act like you're our highschool star
Don't flash your money and laugh at my shoes
Please don't give me the highschool blues

People said it would be the best time of your life
People didn't grow up with heartache and strife
So when you see different things
Please don't judge so soon
And please don't give the highschool blues.

Reason for writing:

I'm sick of everyone at my school that is lame and shallow.
I wish people could see past their idiotic ways and grow up.
I was inspired by the lame and superficial people at my school
in Portland Oregon, at David Douglas High School.
