Muse Tears

by David Lewis LEO - Not entered

In your eyes I see my future
my destiny rings
with the beat of your heart
so-perfect-vision, a flawless dream
you bring shadows of nothing
to most-brilliant art

and what purpose is there
to find in singing
if the song holds not half the beauty of love
what music is there
what rhythm could move me
when shimmering muse tears shine brighter above

the answer I find
in the arms of an angel
tears of the muse lending clarity’s light
the song is the ending
perfect unpretending
and the muse wipes her eyes as I rise from the night.

Reason for writing:

    something longer...something new...
