She told her mom she'd be out to eight, She was going on an important date. She said she's going to the movies to the mall, But not there not at all. To his house she would go, Never to return she did not know. There was a party on that night, she had thought it'd be nice and tight. They got her drunk she could not leave, She went in his bedroom a drink to retrieve. She got something different, Can't you believe, She was raped and murder on that night, While still in her loving mother's sight. She never came home not the next day, For, she was gone she went the wrong way. Her mother took the metal, stabbed it deep. She couldn't live she wouldn't weep. Resting now side by side, A mother and her joy and pride.

My sister always wanted to go to parties and I was always afraid that may happen so I wrote this poem for her so she knew I cared.Birth sign: Not entered
