The Best Moves In Town

Twirl me, turn me, spin me around,
Daddy you've got the best moves,
the best moves in town.

The swing, the cha-cha, the camel walk too,
are all the dances we shared, just us two.

Twirl me, turn me, spin me around,
Daddy you've got the best moves,
the best moves in town.

The twist, the shag, the dog and the pony,
All of these dances I did best with you only.

Twirl me, turn me, spin me around,
Daddy you've got the best moves,
the best moves in town.

The masked potatoes, the Boston, the jerk and the swim,
what fun we had over the years doing all of them.

Twirl me, turn me, spin me around,
Dadday you've got the best moves,
the best moves in town.

Twirl me, turn me, spin me around,
Daddy you've got the best moves,
the best moves in town.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem in memory of my father who died on October,
1996. He taught me how to dance at the age of two by allowing
me to stand on top of his feet. And over the years I never
found a partner I enjoyed dancing with more.
