Comfort in A Midnight Clear

by Angela Shrum - Not entered

I fell into a daze one night,
My mind it wanders....
Looking up at the shimmering light.

The stars sparkle as I gaze in the nigh,
At ease I feel....
Harmony and warmth enters my body as I sigh.

To once be whole and happy within,
Without the front....
That I protray to all my friends.

I ask in my head as I look at the moon,
When is Jesus coming to get us...
I can only pray it will it be soon?

I feel I am ready to go to his land,
My heart will be full....
Smiling, rejoicing as I walk hand in hand.

To Jesus I promise my soul is for you,
I know I've done wrong...
I can only pray your forgiveness, for you know I am true.

I fall to my knees and confess my sins,
For some I have forgotten...
Some I tried to hold deep within.

For Jesus knows that one day..the hurt that I feel,
And too Jesus I know.....
Gave me his shoulder and helped me to deal.

The trials here on this place we call home,
We are to try our hardest...
To cope and get through...but not all alone.

Just look up to Heaven and see what I mean,
Gaze into the Midnight Clear....
For you will see the comfort that I feel and I've seen!

Reason for writing:

I love writing poetry. There is no paticular reason behind it,
other than it was what my heart was feeling that day.
