Illusion

by Bridgette* Cancer - Not entered

Sitting with you under the moonlight,
I'm thinking I must be in heaven,
You're slowly reaching for my hand,
And our lips are looking for each others.
Suddenly, I am in your arms.
You are holding me closely to you.
I'm loving you with all of my heart,
But it is in lust you are loving me.
I know how hurt I'm going to end up,
But I want to create this illusion for awhile.
I want to create the illusion that you love me,
Even if it soon will be gone.
Cause see, for you I'd give up my entire life.
But I didn't-I just gave you my heart.
And you stole it from me, though you don't even care.
I gave you my body to do whatever you please,
Thinking maybe you'll come to love me.
But in the back of my mind I know you won't.
At least I can make it seem like that for awhile.

Reason for writing:

I would do anything to believe he loves me.
