Neat Word

						Neat Word

“Beshrew me if I would do such a wrong for the whole world.”
I could not, no, would not ever stick my face in a jello mold.
Sure, it may be easy to put me in denial,
My poetry cannot be that bad, though some say it is vile.

Now even my
point
eludes me to the
point
that I can no longer
write
		or
think
coherent thoughts.

And to think I only

this quote because beshrew is such a neat word
and I thought I could be e.e. cummings.

Op. 1	revised from original, 9/96

Reason for writing:

In my AP English class last year, we had an assignment, as soon as we were handed our copies of Othello, which was to chose any three lines at random, and to write them down.
Then, for homework, we were to compose a poem on one of those lines. This poem is the path I took, which was rather whimsical and silly.
