POETRY

Poetry is a talking photograph
Of vivid colors
Poetry is a harlequin rainbow…..
A yellow giraffe with polka-dots
Poetry is a leprechaun’s golden pot;

Poetry is a moment in words
Words carefully woven in a tapestry
Of ink and paper
To describe emotions felt a day ago;

If I could paint a picture of true poetry
I’d gather my watercolors and artist’s palette
And use the brightest hues that I can find
For Poetry is life in all its brilliance
Summoned up in rhythmic pattern

Poetry is profound beauty
Captured on a page
To aid the human mind
Perceive the world in a different light
Poetry is a portrait of life in all its glory!

Reason for writing:

    Poetry is like a photograph showing life in its' full color.
Poets, like photographers must be skilled in getting the best
angle to capture the best portrait they can get. I love to write all
sorts of poetry to capture how life is from my point of view.
