God's kingdom

by Mike Pierce - Not entered

An offwhite castle on a moonlit night
Nothing to cloud the light
Not a trace of darkness
Green trees inhabit the pastures
No pain, no sorrow
Like a dove, beautiful and clear
A quest of mine perhapse...
The scent of blue seas,
The faint sound of a river
Flowing in the presence of light and darkness
No access to the other side
A barrier? perhapse...
But it doesn't matter, it's their fault
One side hate and worry,
The other love and perfection
No wanderers inbetween
Frequently of this place I will dream
Daytime as well as night
Leaning on a tree warmed by the light,
Comforted by the love,
And soothed by the freedom
Dancing in the winds of an endless time
Forever and ever loving this kingdom
Willing to protect it with all of my being
Like an endless quest for satisfaction

Reason for writing:

This is a poem about heaven. I was inspired to write it because I want whoever reads it to know how great Heaven is and how much better it is than the Earth.
