To Dream Of Perfect Sanity

by Chamile / Taurus - Not entered

I wanted to dream about you
But all I could dream
Was of darkness
And how cold it was outside my bed
Awake in the light of perfect sanity
Knowing that your eyes could save me
But all I saw was the ceiling smiling back at me
And the light was a beam of darkness
That hit my eyes
And my mind
Making me see the words on this page
Melt away
As I realized they were there
And my hands dripped off my bones
When I looked at them
But you were sitting in front of me
And I reached out to touch you
But you were gone as the lights flashed
And I saw the way through your mind
And I navigated your emotions
For once you let me in
But I was repelled as soon as I saw it
And my hands smiled back at me
As the room shone with energy
And my pillow sank into my head
So all I knew was of feathers
Or was it cotton
But the darkness sank back in
Seeing old things new
As my fingers crawled back on my hands
And I opened my eyes from the vision
I wanted to dream about you
But I couldn’t touch your face
Or feel your arms
Or stare into your eyes
I wanted to dream about you
But it came in a dark vision
So maybe I will sleep
Again and want to dream about
Me
