I lie awake in my bed, Thoughts are running through my head, Waiting on you to come through for me, As you sail across the sea. To a far away country I'll never know, Some where in the rain and snow. I know you're thinking of me on your way, A wave goodbye and then you say, If I never see you again, Know you'll always be my friend, Till the day you die do not give up on me, This is my dream your setting me free, Remember me through your heart, Then my friend we never did part, I won't make it this I know, And you know I love you so. *So near or far, Where ever you are, Make sure you know when I'm gone. Cause your heart will go one. That night I die in my bed, Just how he had often said.
