Love vs. Lust

by kelli bircket (Aries) - Not entered

When two people meet,
and words can't be spoken
'cause the last time they were,
your heart had been broken,
and a feeling of love
starts to take over,
just as it did
that night on the clover.
But now your heart hurts
and you can't even trust
'cause last time you did
you mistook love for lust.
 You forget who you are,
you can't speak your name.
When was the last time
you felt the same?
The world disappears
and it's only you two.
and you feel in your heart
what you're about to go through
A feeling of love
nothing else can replace,
when he looks into your eyes
and softly kisses your face.
 And you know it's love.
what else feels so right?
And the voice whispering, Yes!
is something you can no longer fight.
You flashback to heartaches
and all that you've been through.
You know what happened last time
when a voice said, I Love You.
He presses against you
and he holds you so tight.
You know this is where you want to be tonight.
 The words he now says
just triggered a thought.
He whispered, I Love You.,
the last line that you bought.
You push him away
with all of your might.
How could something so wrong
feel so incredibly right?
You now know
that you've gone too far,
and just like last time,
lust left a scar.
 You see that you
will never learn.
You can't play with fire
and walk away with no burn.
And now you see why
you just can't trust
Maybe it's your always mistaking
love for lust!
