a vision of black

by falcon - Not entered

I leave the crowd
wandering thru hallways
in and out of rooms
suddenly a closed door, a faint noise
entering darkness
two small candles flickering on a piano
one figure clothed in black
his body swaying gently as his hands touch the keys
the music he creates torturing my soul
sympathies aroused
innermost secrets uncovered
a look of suffering in his eyes
one with the darkness
i tremble with meaninglessness next to this being
so perfect, so enchanting
like a dream
to speak would be to break this ethereal image
his eyes, though distant, burn holes thru my mind
his song filling the space
i am numb
what does he hide
what is his story
why so much pain
the darkness thickens
the flames blow out
he is inside me
we are one
and the vision of black plays on
forever
an endless tale of grief

Reason for writing:

i was at this girls house with a bunch of people, i noticed my friend michael had disappeared so i looked for him. he was in a dark room dressed all in black playing the piano. the entire scene and the feelings it created can only be described as poetic.
