Love

by Emma St. Jude (Libra) - Not entered

No matter where life may take you
No matter where life may go
Love will always be somewhere
Be it hidden or be it shown

Love can pull the heart stings long
Love is never wasted
Love goes places gate doesn't dare
Where bitterness is tasted

Love takes time-it can't be rushed
It never goes neglected
Love is often like a mirror
Love is Love reflected

But love can cut those heart strings, too
And be misused, mistreated
Slicing souls and summer dreams
Tiny tears happily greeted

It can go on forever and a day
Or fall fast, a pointless fling
A roller-coaster with ups and downs
But when Love leaves, give it wings

No matter where life may take you
No matter where life may go
Love will always be somewhere
Be it hidden or be it shown

Reason for writing:

I write about my life. Interpret my poetry as you will--let me know what you think.
