As I Walk the Ways

by SteppenWulf - Not entered

As I walk the ways
The old feeling assaults me yet again
The pain, hollowness that fills me inside
The yearning for that which would complete me
My other half
You for whom I am searching
My sundered self
The understanding that would comfort me
The caring that would heal me
The love that brings me joy
But these are as nothing
For they pale beside you
Your light I search for
The darkening night a spur to my efforts
As I brave the dark
As I glean the path
As I walk the ways.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem as a cry for that which is lacking in my life, loneliness for true companions and someone to really care for .
Lemonade was my muse, giving me the idea to start writing poems again.
