Love-Lies

by VirgoZoë - Not entered

clear brown eyes met passion green
flame sparkled, heated machine
joy of soulmate, perfected life
lasting for eternal to be his wife
clear from the line
he mastered no fidelity
but spread this endless love, rightfully mine
handed my love to this Vidal
told him everything about myself
my secrets, my soul

carelessly, that passage opened
exposing a world of the unknown
promised vows shattered, steps forlorn
compromise so fragile
never once did it exist
love-lies played casual
infatuation failed to resist
promises given meant nothing
just words left behind on an empty ash tray

rolled forth salty tears
minute halted, universe stilled
world collapsed, colliding into pieces
grounded beneath the muddy soil dirt
cold and miserable in aching bones
every wall like hidden doors
in a demension so ashore
so such like a dream,
burden with thoughts
but light as stream

I saw myself cry
eyes swollen without pride
body and soul slowly died
fading into empty space
only a lace-string to hold me by
emotions inside melt
like a fallen autumn leaf
heart stabbed by bitter lies
salt poured on open wounds

I thought paper cut hurts, but
a broken promise stings even more.....
