Empire Built For Two

by Dan (the taurean) Churchill - Not entered

Way back when, when we where new,
I tried to build an Empire for two.
Rolling lands, and a sea of blue,
weren't worth as much, as a thought of you.
Yet, I did something, I knew not to do.
I thought you would be happy, instead it made you blue.
I was wrong, and acted the fool.
But we can start over, as lovers do,
and begin to rebuild, our Empire for two.
If there was something, if there was a clue,
that would help you see I belong to you,
I would show it, in a second to you.
And we could live, in OUR Empire,
Built for Two.

Just give me one chance,
I can be the guy you once knew.
I can be the glue,
that would stick to only you.
My Darling if, YOU only knew,
All of what I would do for you.
I would climb those rocks, and scour mountain tops,
Just to be close to you.

Though all those sands, and a sky of blue,
still aren't worth as much as you,
I try to make myself live through,
Every minute, I spend with you.

From those highest tops, and tallest large rocks,
I would gaze at you, and we would be THE Two,
Ruling our Empire of New.
Then of course, we could enjoy our view,
of the Empire, built for me,
And you........

Reason for writing:

Made some Horrendous mistakes, and lost the only love I have ever really known. I may even be lying to myself that she may one day come back to me, because I did after all hurt her many different occasions. Only thing I can say, is I now know all the pain I put her through, because she put me through all of it, plus some...... But, it's impossible for me to hurt her again. I love her dearly.
